Become A Mentor Tutor

Mentor responsibilities include: attending math/ reading training, orientation, Mentor sessions, and Mentor meetings, completing Mentor reports, preparing lesson material for each session, tracking the student’s progress, reporting to Program Coordinators and Executive Coordinator, and assisting in volunteer recruitment.

Training Dates (New mentors must attend one of these sessions): TBD

Work Term (Summer): July – August. Our 1.5 hour-long programs run 3 times a week, usually in the afternoon, for 4 weeks between the months of July to August. More details to come as they become available!

2020 Summer Mentor Application Form

  • Please put down your legal name if it is different than the name put above.
  • We do not accept applications for new Mentor Volunteers who are not High-School or University students. If are still in University and older than twenty-four years of age, please write your current age in the "tell us about yourself" section and what you are doing at University
  • Let us know the name of the teacher, friend, or family member who told you about this volunteer opportunity and a way to contact them.
  • Criminal Record Checks

    Criminal records checks are MANDATORY for any volunteer who is no longer in high school. The record check is free and you can use it elsewhere if needed. Please open this link and complete the outlined steps before the tutor training session.
  • Volunteer Hours Certificate

    Upon completion of our program, you will receive a Certificate for your volunteer hours and a reference letter
