Become a Program Coordinator
Program Coordinator responsibilities include: attending math/ reading training, orientation, Mentor sessions, and Program Coordinator meetings, facilitating Mentor meetings, facilitating debrief after each Mentor session, tracking Mentor reports, completing Program Coordinator reports, taking attendance, guiding and providing feedback to Mentors, providing references for Mentors, reporting to Executive Coordinator, and assisting in volunteer recruitment. This is a leadership role that requires experience as a mentor.
For Fall, 2020, our programs will all be hosted online through Zoom or a similar platform. We are only able to offer our Reading program at this time. Buddies will still come from Elementary schools in the Lower Mainland, but specific dates for each school are still in the process of being confirmed. Our programs will run twice a week on either Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays with the following timeslots for PCs: 3:25 – 4:45 pm or 4:40 – 6:00 pm.
Here are the dates for this term:
· Mentor Training: Wed, Sept 16th 5-8pm
· Executive Coordinator and Program Coordinator Training: Thurs, Sept 17th 5-7:30pm
· Mentor Training (Backup): Tues, Sept 22nd 5-8pm
· Zoom Training: Thurs, Sept 24th 5-6pm
· Group Orientations: September 28th to October 2nd during your program’s timeslot
Programs tentatively begin on the week of October 5th.
