Starting a new semester at school can be difficult to manage. Fortunately, there are numerous resources that are accessible online to help you stay organized and adjust to the new setting. Try out the productivity tools below!

  1. Google Calendar

One of the most used and accessible resource online is the Google Calendar. According to the Chapmans Learning Commons, Google Calendar is regarded as a great tool to stay organized. This free tool allows you to set up events by day, week, or month. You can also customize each event to your liking. For example, you set reminders for specific events or add small written notes.

If you want to be even more organized, you can create different types of calendars for different aspects of your life. Personally, I like to have a calendar for my school clubs and another for homework. This will further help you manage your tasks. Lastly, calendars can be shared between Google Calendar users. This method allows users to see each other's schedules before planning an event, which can improve communication and efficiency.

2. Notion

If you are a creative person, Notion will be a great fit for you as it is very customizable. One of its great features includes its ability to have numerous pages for each of your commitments. For each page, you can even create many sub-pages! You can also label each page with an emoji or a picture of your choice to make it visually appealing. Furthermore, each section on your template can be moved around. This allows you to take complete control of the layout and adjust it in a way that is optimal for personal use.

Overall, Google Calendar is a great tool to quickly set up events by day, week, or month. On the other hand, Notion is great for people who wish to customize every part of their layout. Hopefully, this post inspired you to test out the resources above!
